Anyone who frequently bakes cookies, cupcakes, or other baked goods knows that a sturdy cooling rack is essential. Cooling cookies on the still-warm baking sheet encourages over-baking due to the continued heat transference. Other cooling options, like inside a cookie tin, invite the cookies to perspire and clump together. With a cooling rack, however, air circulates to efficiently bring each cookie to room temperature without over-cooked, or sticky, results. For such baking purposes, Anolon offers this 10-by-18-inch wire cooling rack from their SureGrip bakeware line.

The medium-sized cooling rack features carbon-steel construction. The heavyweight material ensures adequate support for fresh goodies and endurance for years of use. Nonstick coating prevents baked goods from attaching to the rack while expediting the cleaning process. Though dishwasher- safe, washing the rack by hand will preserve its nonstick surface. Great cookie cooling rack. Love the big size. It easily accommodates my whole tray full of chocolate cookies. Easy to clean too.

I was looking for a cooling rack for a few weeks before I decided to purchase this rack. The cooks at Cook's Illustrated didn't like the size of this rack, but thought it was sturdy. Since I figured I would be using my rack more for cooling pans of cookies than broiling, I decided to go with this rack. I am so glad that I did!

The rack has a nice amount of heft to it; you can tell that it is nicely crafted. I have even used this rack in my half-sized sheet pans when broiling chicken breasts on several occasions, and I have had no problems. I love this cooling rack, and I plan to add a couple more to my kitchen.

Rated for >350 degrees, so I am using these for the second bake with biscotti, and for breaded meat cutlets, so I don't have to turn them.

They are not at all flimsy, and appear to be nearly unbreakable.

Highly recommended for cooling and baking.
