Appolia French Ceramic 2-1/4-quart loaf/cake pan in a delicious plum color. Created in the "French Cuisine" pattern with scalloped shapes and generous rounded corners for easy clean up and a classic look for your foods. Appolia ceramic bake ware is crafted from natural clays of the highest quality in the Bretagne region of north west France Created from a hard paste porcelain instead of liquid paste as others, Appolia is a more durable product from the beginning. Freezer to oven to table ware, one dish to prepare, cook, serve and store your favorite meals. And not just dishwasher safe and microwave proof, but very easy and simple clean up. Appolia is an environmentally conscious factory employing means that sustain the environment and reduce waste. Created in the region of Van Gough, each piece of Appolia ceramic bake ware is a piece of kitchen art from a region famous for art. Bon appetite.

This review is from: Appolia French Ceramic Cake/Loaf Pan, Plum (Kitchen)
I am disappointed in this pan and am returning it to Amazon.

I was looking for something that would hold more than the standard 10X5 loaf pan I currently use for meatloaf. This pan has just about the same capacity. I could only get 2 quarts of water in it - although if I had filled it to overflowing, i might have been able to get 2 1/4 quarts in there.

The measurements given are inaccurate. The 13" length measurement includes the handles, and even with the handles it is only about 12 3/4". The width is 5" rather than 5 1/2", and that is the outside diameter. The interior measures only about 4.5" wide. The depth is described accurately.

If you're looking for a handsome more-or-less standard size (and rather expensive) loaf pan, you will probably be quite happy with this, but if you're looking for something over-sized, this is not the way to go.
