Summary: Not Worth It! 2009-06-15
Comment: I was really excited to get this in the mail. Today, I finally tried it and was quite disappointed.
The machine runs very hot and was steaming before it was even ready for the batter. Needless to say, my finger is still burning after trying to pry open the tight hatch. The first time around, the suggested three minutes was way too long for these donuts. The recipes provided, even when cooked properly, don't taste very good.
I suggest one spends the few dollars they would spend on the amount of materials it costs to make these donuts and buy a whole box of tasty donuts at the grocery store. They will surely get more for their money.

Summary: Lots of Fun! 2009-01-03
Comment: My son and I just finished making a couple of dozen donuts with our Blinq Donut maker. He is 12. We enjoyed making them and the recipe (for Peanut Butter and Honey Donuts) that was included in the manual was very good. The little donuts were very cute, although they seemed to brown more than we expected. We cut the cooking time down to 2 minutes rather than 3 by the end. My son also put some strawberry preserves into the holes of the donuts which was delicious if you like jelly donuts. It took us awhile to get the batter into the maker...we were slow at the beginning but then found a good method that allowed us to speed up. The batter was very thick so we had to scrape it into the maker with a second spoon. Overall, we enjoyed the maker and plan to do it again!
