Summary: Wonderful bread. A bit loud. 2010-08-09
Comment: I have been using this exact model for over a year now and LOVE it! We have 7 in our family and so make at least a loaf a day. It works great with regular bread and also with the gluten free stuff we make for some of the kids.
The loaf pan is actually horizontal so it makes normal shaped loaves instead of the weird square ones that most machines crank out.
One note: We keep ours in the basement because it beeps. REALLY BEEPS. Loud, long and all throughout the cycle. I think there are 4 times in a 3 hours cycle when it starts beeping. I don't remember the codes, but it beeps loudly 16(!) times when it's done. 16! Anyway, we moved it to be basement because it was waking the kids early in the morning when it started mixing.
But, it's so worth it when you wake to the smell of fresh baked bread.
If you don't mind the beeps, it delivers the goods. I paid 2x this much and would again.

Summary: Great Bread, especially Gluten Free 2010-07-20
Comment: I have used this bread maker at least 8 times since I got it a few weeks ago and the packaged bread mixes work very well. This is the best Gluten free bread to date. I even added dried fruit and nuts and it turned out great. For $100, you can't go wrong with this machine.

Summary: Very Quiet Bread Maker 2010-07-11
Comment: We bought this to replace a Panasonic one after the paddle broke on it. The Panasonic did a very good job for what we were using it for. However, it was noisy. The racket it made would actually wake you up. We haven't had this Cuisinart but for a month but we welcome the quiet hum versus the noisy Panasonic. So far so good.

Summary: Don't buy it! 2010-06-22
Comment: Short story: bought the machine, attempted three times to make basic white bread from the recipe booklet, and wound up with dense heavy collapsed bread that clearly did not rise properly (despite very careful measurement of ingredients, adding it all in the proper order, and three different yeasts!) There clearly is something wrong with the rise times on this machine. Returned it and bought the Panasonic. Don't buy it, don't buy it, don't buy it! You WILL regret it.

Summary: mostly good... 2010-05-05
Comment: i've never had a bread machine before or made bread by scratch, and i was pleasantly surprised by how easy and delicious the bread was with this machine!! my only issue with it is, for the life of me i can't figure out how to change the timer on the bake-only option. the instruction book says it can be set in 10-minute intervals up to 90 minutes, but no matter what buttons i press, the timer stays at the default 60 minutes. do i have a defective machine??
