This high-quality loaf pan with a lid has a commercial non-stick coating to allow for easy release. Use this covered pan to make perfectly square bread loaves for party sandwiches.
The aluminized steel finish combines the durability, strength, and superior heat conduction of steel with the corrosion-resistance of an aluminum alloy. The pan is formed using "folding" technology which gives added strength to the pan; steel is folded over at the ends, which triples the corner thickness and reinforces the rim. A wire rod is curled inside the rim for extra strength and warp-resistance.

Summary: Non-stick came off on first use 2010-09-06
Comment: Like others have reported, the non-stick coating came off on the very first use leaving bits of teflon all over the bread. I had hoped this problem had been resolved before I purchased but clearly that is not the case. Buyer beware.

Summary: Finish comes off onto the bread! 2010-06-23
Comment: I received this pan and it looks very well made, solid construction. However, the first time used the pan the "SLICKDAD" non stick coating came off from the lid and onto the bread. The pan itself did not seem to have the problem, only the lid. It also stuck to my oven mitts when I pulled the pan from the oven.
I'm quit disappointed. I don't dare eat the bread. I'm afraid the pan is going back if possible.

I originally gave this 1 star.
I contacted the company about the problem. The president of the company called me back. He apologized, assured me it was unusual and sent me a replacement. I am pleased to report after making a loaf the pan performed perfectly. While the first pan was a problem I am really glad the company was so good about making it right.
I'm quit disappointed. I don't dare eat the bread. I'm afraid the pan is going back if possible.
