Bread proofing basket. Also known as a banneton, it is a favorite of artisan bakers for raising their bread dough. Made in Europe of machine washable plastic and includes cotton liner. Dust the liner with flour and the risen dough drops easily onto your baking surface. Excellent for proofing very wet doughs, as called for with the popular no knead bread recipes. Basket is designed to be used with the cloth liner only.
