Summary: Still getting the hang of this 2005-09-26
Comment: I bought this model breadmaker because others had submitted such positive reviews of it. I myself have not had such a great experience with it as of yet. I have only used it 2 times so I am trying different recipes and settings and still hold out hope. I tried to make a loaf on the Express setting and it did not rise well and turned out more cake like with a very airy consistency. My husband liked it but it wasn't bread. I then used the dough setting yesterday and the dough came out very very wet and sticky and was difficult to work with.
A complaint I have about the machine is that the mixing piece does not seem to span the entire pan so all the ingredients do not mix evenly.
My recommendation when using bread makers in general is to use bread flour, not all purpose flour, fresh yeast and try and get a tried and true bread recipe from a friend.
In short, I'm not sure if my problems were due to the machine or my ineptitude but I'll keep trying.

Comment: Well, not much more to say other than this is a GREAT item. Just the smell of fresh home baked bread will make you feel great about this bread machine. Not to mention it is really easy to use, works great and the recipe book is very helpful. You will love the bread you get, as long as you follow the easy instructions.

Comment: User manuel is laid out to give instant (almost) gratification for those of us who can't wait to read everything: Directions for a loaf are almost the first thing to read. Manuel is divided by type of cycle used: basic,express,dough, etc. The machine itself is an attractive shape and easy to use. My only complaint is the pan is a little difficult to remove after the bread bakes. I have worn out two Breadman Pros, and I was ready for a change. I like this machine and would recommend it.

Comment: This breadmaker is wonderful!!I definately recommend it for anyone. Each and every bread I've have made has come out great. We are enjoying bread 3-4 times a week. Can't wait for the weekend to try another kind of bread. (Even our dogs know when the bread is baking, and they can't wait for a bite!)
The breadmaker is VERY simple to use. Read the directions if you have never used one before. Make sure the measurements are exact, then "have some fun".
This was one of THE best purchases I have made in a long time!
