I had put off buying brotforms until recently when I thought I had gotten enough skills to rationalize the purchase costs. I should have done so sooner. If you've shaped your loaf with good surface tension, it will come out in a shape that holds long enough for a good slash and loading into the oven. Finished loaves have the nice flour lines that many people associate with "artisan" breads. They do look good. The form appears to be well made and other than using reasonable to care for it, the form should last years.

I am just learning to bake artisan breads and saw these on many web-sites and in my books of artisan bread. These things work. I was a little reluctant to try one for the fear of the dough sticking and never coming out. I should not have worried, just a little dusted inside for the final proofing and the dough drops right out ready to score and bake. I am ordering more.

Product arrived in great condition, I am very pleased with the value of these Brotforms. Much more affordable compared to several others I have purchased, and very close in quality to the more expensive baskets. Bread rises beautifully in these, and I cannot imagine building my bread without them.
