Product Review
Product Description
The USA Pans Hearth Bread Pan is constructed of aluminized steel, the material of choice for commercial bakeries. Loaf Pan measures 12 x 5 1/2 x 2 1/4 Inch. The size and design of the Hearth pan makes it ideal for making rustic and delicious hearth bread. The metal thickness of this pan has been selected to allow for even heat distribution and maximum service life. An important and unique feature of this pan is its corrugated design. Corrugation maximizes the pans strength and prevents warping, denting and other effects of everyday use. Plus, it also minimizes surface contact which translates into evenly baked products that are easily released. No need for messy and unhealthy oil and grease. This pan is coated with Americoat. Americoat is a proprietary silicone coating. It provides a clear, non-stick, non-toxic baking surface, specially formulated for superior baking. It's FDA approved; it does not contain PTFE's or PFOA's. It is not recommended to exceed baking temperature of 400 degrees F. Easy care. To clean, simply wipe clean after use; soap and water are okay to use. It is not recommended that pan be washed in dishwasher because harsh chemicals can cause the non-stick material to breakdown in time. Dry pan completely, after cleaning. USA Pans is the newest line of bakeware developed by American Pan, the world's largest manufacturer of commercial bakeware. Pans are made of 65% recycled steel. Made in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Lifetime warranty.

These pans appear that they will give me a lifetime of service. I have only baked one loaf in each of the two pans that I bought, but the loaves slipped out easily with no residue left behind. I did grease the pans with coconut oil just to be safe. Afterwards, I swished the USA Pans in warm soapy water, rinsed them under hot water, and put them upside down to dry. My other brand of non-stick pans sometimes have residue left inside them even with coconut oil. With those, I sometimes have to soak them to get the baked residue off without scrubbing which would mar their non-stick surface.

I was a little surprised that the pans did not say anywhere on them that they were made in the USA, which is one of their selling points. Also, there was no insert explaining the temperature limit (450 F) or the washing instructions (no dishwasher). As expensive as these pans were, I would have thought an explanatory slip of paper would not break the bank. However, I am very happy...Read more

I own 5 pans from this company and haven't been disappointed with any of them. I'm getting ready to order more.

They don't have inserts for care and usage, which should be addressed. Packaging isn't the best. My 2 latest pans have scratches, but on the outside, so I'm willing to live with it. The scratches aren't deep so I don't think I'll have a rust issue.

They must be hand washed which isn't a problem. They can't be used higher than 450F, also not a problem.

They bake evenly in a home oven that decides one day it's 25 degrees low or 25 degrees hot. Thank heavens for oven thermometers.

Prices are approximately the same as a baking site without shipping costs.

I would have given 5 stars if they had been packed properly and I didn't have any scratches.

Shipping time was excellent.

I've upgraded my previous review from 4 to 5 stars. I just now received my new order of pans. Packaging was good, no...Read more

These are the best pans on the market. They are a little pricey, but worth it. The hearth pan is large and produces a beautiful giant loaf of bread. They are heavy and non stick, although I do use a little oil. Want every size they make!
