The USA Pans 1 lb Loaf Pan is constructed of aluminized steel, the material of choice for commercial bakeries. The metal thickness has been selected to allow for even heat distribution and maximum service life. An important and unique feature of this pan is its corrugated design. Corrugation maximizes the pans strength and prevents warping, denting and other effects of everyday use. Plus, it also minimizes surface contact which translates into evenly baked products that are easily released. For additional strength, pan features rolled edges with internal steel wires. No need for messy and unhealthy oil and grease. This pan is coated with Americoat. Americoat is a proprietary silicone coating. It provides a clear, non-stick, non-toxic baking surface, specially formulated for superior baking. It's FDA approved; it does not contain PTFE's or PFOA's. It is not recommended to exceed baking temperature of 400 degrees F. Easy care. To clean, simply wipe clean after use; soap and water are okay to use. It is not recommended that pan be washed in dishwasher because harsh chemicals can cause the non-stick material to breakdown in time. Dry pan completely, after cleaning. I've looked at other name-brand bake pans at department stores and nothing came close to the quality of this USA Pan product. Remarkably thick and heavy construction material. Feels like something my grandmother would have had in her 1950s kitchen. I can't imagine outlasting this pan. I'm sold on USA Pan and will switch over to its product line as my other name-brand bake pans need replacement. And it's made in the USA! Unlike all the other name-brand bake pans out there shipped over from China.

I ordered this loaf pan based solely on the fact it was made in the U.S.A. I have to say, the quality exceeded my expectations. It's a very solidly made, heavy pan and it bakes bread like a dream. I'm definately ordering another one.
Yes, it's more expensive than some Made in China pan, but the quality of this pan ensures me I will have it for many, many years.

Like all USA pans, this one rates an A Plus. I love the rippled sides and the heavy gauge construction. Lightly grease the pan before baking and your bread will slide out with ease.
