Product Review

The USA Pans Meat Loaf Pan with Insert is constructed of aluminized steel, the material of choice for commercial cookeries and bakeries. The metal thickness of pan has been selected to allow for even heat distribution and maximum service life. An important and unique feature of this pan is its corrugated design. Corrugation maximizes the pans strength and prevents warping, denting and other effects of everyday use. Plus, it also minimizes surface contact which translates into evenly baked products that are easily released. Insert allows for natural, quick and easy separation of oil and fat from meatloaf for healthier cooking. Pan is coated with Americoat. Americoat is a proprietary silicone coating. It provides a clear, non-stick, non-toxic baking surface, specially formulated for superior baking. It's FDA approved; it does not contain PTFE's or PFOA's. It is not recommended to exceed baking temperature of 400 degrees F. Easy care. To clean, simply wipe clean after use; soap and water are okay to use. It is not recommended that pan be washed in dishwasher because harsh chemicals can cause the non-stick material to breakdown in time. Dry pan completely, after cleaning. USA Pans is the newest line of bakeware developed by American Pan, the world's largest manufacturer of commercial bakeware. Pans are made of 65-percent recycled steel. Made in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, USA. Lifetime warranty.

Made in the USA, which is always a plus for me, thick and a bit heavy. I also noticed it doesn't slide on the oven racks as easily as the cheapers ones did. But....from what I can see, I expect this product to give me years of use. I've tried cheaper ones and they rusted out within the first year! I really like that I can shape the loaf right over the insert, then set it into the holder with ease. Removing the cooked loaf is just as easy to do. I've only used it twice but I see no reason to need another one. Both times there was plenty of grease left under the insert, not touching the loaf at all. I really love this loaf pan!

Heavy construction, easy to clean, and works great! Actually reduced the time I needed to cook my favorite meatloaf. It's a little difficult to remove the insert when the pan is hot, but I used a kitchen towel and it worked OK. Meatloaf slides right off the insert onto a serving dish. Grease stays behind in the pan. I put the pan into the fridge overnight, let the grease solidify, and then just use a wooden spoon to scrape it into the garbage. Easy soap and water cleanup - no scrubbing needed. Highly recommended. This pan will last for years.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy pan, doesn't rust out, but harder to clean in crease, May 5, 2011

This is the best meatloaf pan that I have ever purchased. Previous ones have been cheaper and have rusted out within a few washings. This one is a commercial grade and it's quality is better as well. No rust, cooks great, and it is deep enough for me to cook 1 1/2 pounds of meat loaf easily. My only complaint is that there is a fold on the inside and some of the grease can get inside of it and makes washing it take a bit longer than usual. I just soak it for a few minutes and all the grease just seems to come right out of the crease but it is for this "design flaw" that I gave it 4 stars versus 5 stars. I would still recommend this pan.
